I regularly read the Heavenly Homemakers Blog and this week she is doing her little Green Project. You can write about anything green you are working on and link back to her blog.
What little Green Project are we working on at Almost Plum Nearly? Well, several really. But here’s the most important: we are getting our organic garden ready to plant. There is nothing greener than an organic garden, right? We think so, anyway.
Thinking about all the wonderful produce that will come out of our garden this summer just makes my mouth water. We are planting the largest garden we ever have, because this year my parents are helping us, making it truly a family project. Here’s the list or heirloom and organic vegetables we’re planting:
Broccoli, 2 Varieties of Carrots, 4 Varieties of Tomatoes, Oregano, Chives, Parsley, Basil, Cilantro, Lettuce, Pole Beans, Bush Beans, Pepperoncini, Jalapeno, Anaheim Chile, Sweet Red Pepper, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Patty Pan Squash, Zucchini, Pickling Cucumber, Lemon Cucumber, Salad Cucumber, Eggplant, Radish.
We are also, for the first time, planing a fall garden, too. That will be a new challenge.
I plan to post photos of my plots I’ve plowed so far later this week. Until then, check out Heavenly Homemakers for more little Green Project ideas.
