Menu Plan Monday February 8, 2010

I am starting to plan in a little more detail what we’ll eat for each meal of every day.  Bear with me as I try to be more diligent about posting it!  I definitely need to work on my organizational skills.  It’s just hard to know which project to work on first, you know?  There are SO MANY!

Okay so here’s what we’ll be eating this week.  It is Star Wars Week at our house.  We checked out a Star Wars cookbook from the library, so our menu reflects that.  If you aren’t a fan, my apologies.  Can’t seem to get away from it when you have a bunch of boys.

I did all my shopping over the weekend.  Know that sometimes I switch things around for convenience, as far as which day I serve what.  But here’s the plan, Stan:


Breakfast: Kefir, Pears & Peanut Butter Honey Toast on Homemade Bread

Lunch: Turkey Wraps with Sprouts, Spinach & Shredded Carrots

Dinner: Burgers & Kettle Chips, Oranges, Yoda Soda    Dessert: Lemon Pound Cake (Home Group Night)


Breakfast: Yogurt, Fruit & Coffee Cake

Lunch: Tuna or PBJ Sandwiches (choice), Apples

Dinner: Kris’ Four Cheese Lasagna Florentine (Vegetarian), Sourdough, Caesar Salad


Breakfast: Eggs & Toast, Skywalker Smoothies

Lunch: Grilled Cheese, Mango (or leftover lasagna for a few)

Dinner: Baked Chicken, Buttered Broccoli, Brown Rice


Breakfast: Muffins, Yogurt with Blueberries, Chai Tea

Lunch: Bean & Rice & Chicken Burritos, Oranges

Dinner: Vegetable Chowder, Bread, Spinach & Orange Salad


Breakfast: Pancakes

Lunch: Fried Egg Sandwiches with Catsup (I don’t eat catsup with my eggs, but Beloved seems to have brainwashed our children into it!  Blech! 8P), Green Smoothie

Dinner: Beef & Barley Soup, Bread & Tossed Salad


Breakfast: Oatmeal, Toast, Fruit

Lunch: Leftover Soup & Bread, Crudites with Dip

Dinner: Homemade Pizza, Cheese for the Kids, Vegie for us, Salad


Breakfast: Muffins, Smoothies

Lunch: Leftover Pizza

Dinner: Grilled Salmon with Lemon & Herbs, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Green Beans, Sauteed Garlic & Spinach with Butter

Snacks on hand this week:

homemade granola bars, crudites (raw vegies for dipping), fruit, oatmeal cookies, Wookies cookies, chips & homemade salsa

  1. Looks yummy! I just started menu planning about a month ago. It is so nice to know what is coming up. I get a lot less arguments from the kids this way.
